Cab Forward
Another of Anthony Tonna's models: a wonderfully detailed Southern
Pacific Cab Forward. Yet another unusual locomotive, the Cab Forward
had a unique arrangement of placing the locomotive backwards in
front of the tender. A very successful design, the reason for
this was to prevent smoke from asphyxiating the engineers as the
trains went through many of the Southern Pacific's long tunnels.
