The completed door stops.
All the scratch build door hardware is completed now.
You can see the latch mechanism as well as the guides which are
already riveted to the base of the door.
The totally completed and detailed door.
The process of attaching the doors and aligning them
so they roll smoothly was a chore.
The totally completed and installed door. All details
and hardware attached, from the door stops to the handles and
latch mechanism, all fully functional.
The door slides as smooth silk and the latch mechanism
lines up perfectly.
Now on to the roof and catwalk. The catwalk supports
were all fabricated out of brass.
Here, some detail parts have been added to the end
of the car and the roof's catwalk support brackets have been installed.
The catwalk has now been installed which is made out
of strips of cherry.
The bulk of the car is complete at this point. It is
ready for painting. There are still a few detail parts to add
later and the interior must be created. Presently there are no
underframe details aside from the bolsters. All underframe detail
will be machined and added later after SuperScale releases there
working, fully functional Triplex Braking System (it needs to
be integrated into whatever detail I add, so I decided to wait).
