Some of you may have noticed, on April 14th, 1999 the Long
Island Live Steamers was featured on the NBC television show entitled
"Winners" airing Sunday mornings at 11:00AM. Basically,
a camera crew came out on a run day for about 5 hours, getting
just the right shots to make us look our best. They accomplished
just that, showing everyone the enjoyment our hobby brings to
us, as well as the children and adults who ride our trains. I
urge you all to come out and experience that excitement for yourselves.
Check out the Operating Schedule and set aside a few hours
one Sunday to come out and ride the rails. Free train rides are
given to anyone who wants to experience what it was like to ride
on an authentic, working steam locomotive. Or, for those who just
want to have fun!
The Long Island Live Steamers have also been featured on News
Channel 12 numerous times, the cable railroading show entitles
Model Railroading On Long Island as well as the national television
program "Rock of Ages" airing on VH1.
