Seaboard's Baldwin Light Road Switchers
These Baldwin RS-12 units were 58'-0" long, with a wheelbase of 32'-3", and rode on AAR type B trucks.

SAL 1466-1475 make up the roster of Seaboard's Baldwin RS-12, 1200-horsepower light road switchers.  Like the shorter S-12, they have a long hood that houses a 6-cylinder 606A prime mover.  The tall, short hood originally housed a steam generator. Six were built in 1952 and four in the following year.  They were renumbered in the SCL merger as 207-216, but only 1471 (212) and 1474 (215) retained their steam generators by that time.
