Yellowbonnets:
The yellowbonnet is based on not painting the red warbonnet after
painting the yellow. It still retains the black stripe separating
the yellow from the stainless/aluminum, and the silver understripe that
runs along the
bottom rivet strip. Check out Ralph Back's article, A Yellowbonnet in Texas for

Passenger-flavored units (based on the silver trucks and ends).
[yb1] silver trucks, underframe, ends & pilot, all-yellow nose
with full, solid blue cigar band.

Bluebonnets:
[bb] The bluebonnet is based on painting Santa Fe blue where the red
&
silver warbonnets have the red. Most units have the yellow and
its
black stripe the same as the red warbonnet units. An exception is the
343,
which is missing the black stripe. These units have black trucks,
underframe
& pilot, blue ends & anticlimber, full silver understripe, full
yellow
nose stripe with two vertical blue stripes between headlights &
full
cigar band, except as noted.
