Ballydehob, village on the shores of Roaringwater Bay, parish of Skull (q.v.), SW county Cork, Ireland, 8 miles West of Skibbereen. It stands on the road between Skibbereen and Crookhaven, at the base of Mount Gabriel (1,339ft). Copper ore occurs here, and was at one time mined. Population: 496. |
