Three
truck Shay #7, purchased from the New Mexico Lumber Company in 1936. The #7 stands out as the last
narrow gauge Shay built. The #7 remained in Baker City until sold to the Black Hills Central Railroad
in South Dakota in 1961, and the machine still exists today at the LaPorte County Historical Steam Society,
Heston, Indiana. Photo from the Harney County Historical Society and is courtesy of Martin Morisette.
