The Firestone route
Start of service: December 20, 1927 The Firestone route began operations on December 20, 1927. Running north for less than a kilometre from the corner of Kenilworth & Beach (Next to the HRER tracks, which the HSR would take control of in 1929) during rush hours only, the route passed near several large industries, including the Firestone Rubber plant and the National Steel Car Corporation.
