Nine TC40-102A's (Transit bus, Classic model, 40 passengers, 102 inches wide, Air-conditioned) were built in two batches for the CCL by Motor Coach Industries. 2201-2203 were built in 1988, with 2204-2209 delivered the following year.
2209 was sold to Real McCoy bus lines circa 1991. When the CCL was sold to Trentway-Wagar in 1993, CCL 2201-2203 were renumbered to TW 8850-8852. Trentway-Wagar sold the buses to a Virginia based company in the mid 1990s. CCL 2204-2208 were not part of the sale to Trentway-Wagar, and went to the HSR, keeping their CCL numbers. They were leased to Greater Hamilton Tours around 2000, and later sold off, except for 2204 which is currently sitting abandoned on private property near the Aberdeen railway yard in Hamilton.
