The CCL received its Flxible 29BI-47s from different sources. CCL #1205-1237 (odd numbers only) were built new for the CCL, and arrived in 1947. #1285-1289 (odd numbers only) arrived secondhand. #1285 arrived in Dec 1948 when the CCL purchased the Erie Coach Lines. #1287 and 1289 were purchased from Western Ontario Motorways at an unrecorded date.
CCL #1237 was destroyed in a head-on collision with a Toronto streetcar on November 6, 1948, killing seven. Nine other 29BI-47s were sold off to other owners.
