The oscillating light in the 4449 is has the bulb mounting plate of a rotating dual bulb Mars Light. This
mounting plate is secured to a "figure 8" mechanism from another type of Mars Light. The motor has 2 linkages joining the
mounting plate. The light is run with both lights on. The beam pattern of this unit is a "figure 8".

The GS4 configuration has 3 dynamos, 2 operating at 32V, one for headlights
and cab lights and the other for electric brakes, (that one is now used for
skirt lighting). The third dynamo is a 12V unit for the Mars Light (we
also use it to operate the radio).
The mechanism for the light consists of a vertically installed 12 volt motor
with the gearbox located below. On each side of this gearbox, a link connects
to the top and mid-section of the bulb mounting plate.
The bulbs in this unit are 12 volt, 7" auto bulbs.

The headlight plate (Mars SB-9000) is affixed to a circular gimbal of another Mars unit which used a single bulb-reflector or sealed beam lamp.
