by Arthur C. Heehler and Thomas E. McDowell [assigned to The Pyle-National Company]
Filed: Jan. 13, 1950; Serial No. 138,442
Patented: May 6, 1952

Light unit consists of 2 sealed beam lamps 40 mounted to a supporting plate 19. An eccentric rotary drive powered through the gearbox connected to the motor 64 makes it possible to for the light beam to be gyrated in unison via lever arms connected to the plate 19 via universal bearings 22.

Both sealed beam lamps are rotated in a conical path.

One lens in front of one of the lamps can be clear and the other one colored (red). Lamps using this scheme could be selectively energized.

Lamp units could be arranged to produce a single merged beam of light.

Flexible braided wire 47 supplied power to the lamps.
