Hi Dave,
I tried out "Fast Orange" today on my Athearn Locos. It works
great.
I let it soak first, over the lettering I wanted removed. Q-tips and gently
working the lettering removed the paint. I noticed that, as you
mentioned, the lettering is relatively thick, so even if you don't see the
lettering being removed, look at the Q-tip and you will see the paint lifting
off. Follow the scrubbing with a water rinse (again, via a Q-tip), and
then dry. One loco done in about a half hour. A few pix for you,
including a before and after.
Going to try the Kato car now.
