In summer 2007, the 5402 was involved in a mysterious accident where it throttled up and moved into a group of standing locomotives. The engine sustained heavy damage. In Nov. 2007, it was loaded on flat car BNSF 585226 with its trucks on OTTX 94084. The two flats were then sent to Relco in Albia, IA for repairs. From various photo evidence and discussion. UPDATE: As of Thanksgiving 2007, the 585226 is b/o in Newton, KS. Was later delivered to Relco. |
