At the Railway Supply Institute's Railway Technology Exhibition in Sept. 2008, Progress finally unveiled its 3-engine genset, model PR22B. The model features three CAT C18 engines generating 745 hp each. The locomotive touts a modular design, with easy removal of each of the gensets, and a dynamic brake option, which this locomotive is built with. Build data was not available for this unit at the convention. |

PRLX 2008 is very similar in appearance to PRSX 2002, which was seen earlier this year on the Aberdeen, Carolina & Western. From photo comparisons. At RSI, a photo of PRSX 2002 was shown indicating that it had had the end striping and grey roof paint added at some point as well. |
