NREX 2011 was first sighted working on the Indiana Railroad, then went on to demonstrate on Canadian National. From various discussions. |

NREX 2011 appears to be built to BNSF specs. It has been suggested that it is only doing demo work on a temporary basis, and will eventually be delivered to BNSF. The out of sequence serial number may be an indication that this theory is correct. |

Per Ken Lanovich, the 2011 was repainted and re-released as BNSF 1240 as part of its order. From discussion on the Loconotes Yahoo group in Nov. 2007. |
