From a citation on the NETransit roster page, for MBTA http://members.aol.com/rtspcc/roster/MBTAroster.htmthat said that the board put out a bid for two genset switchers, due to close on Jan. 30, 2008, and a further note that the MBTA board approved the purchase of two units from NRE at a contract rate of $3.3Million. This unit first spotted at NRE Paducah in early January. Departed in early March and was sent to Mass. on CSX via Cleveland. This unit was displayed at the New England Rail Symposium in Worcester, MA prior to delivery. |

Builder's plate and other information provided by Mark R. Double checked by Dave Santos. On this unit, the build date on the builder's plate is Jan. 09, while the build date on the emissions sticker is Dec. 08. I've used the builder's plate info for this page, but want to record that there is a conflict between the two. |
