| Train #981-31 with units 6032,5979,5849 hit a washout at MP59.1 Nelson Sub. at 0445h on May 31, 1998. The train had 31 loads-58 empties-5436 tons and derailed three units and eight cars at about 20mph with the units and four cars going down a bank. All units were retired with units 5849,5979 being sold to NRE and 6032 being sold to Mandak. |
