Notes: |
(Photo Above) "Here is a Shot of Extra 4104 West at Eager, BC on it's 2nd trip West in the
Script Paint scheme. May 19, 1969. On it's FIRST Trip West, fresh from the paint
shop at Ogden Shops, it was trailing, and DEAD!, Alarm bells ringing out the shame for all
to hear! The train had to 'Double-In', and 4104 was sent to Nelson on the next west
for a tune-up. As far as I know, CP 4104 was the last CP cab unit to receive the
Maroon and Grey in May 1969. The engine cab and engine room were painted in the light
green instead of the previous Grey. Yes, that IS a CLC B Unit living on borrowedb
time; a 'Fairbot'-to-be." -Fairbanks Morse. |
