Notes: |
This unit is "officially" ex CP 8700,
however it was in wrecked condition when it entered the GP9 rebuild program in 1984, and
the frame of UP GP9 315 was used due to the bent condition of the frame of CP 8700 (b/n
A1156 o/n C-225). Therefore, according to the long standing and widely accepted
convention used by locomotive historians whereby "the frame is the locomotive",
I am showing CP 1571 as ex UP 315 with parts possibly from CP 8700. The frame number
5552-16 has been verified by Wayne Regaudie and I thank him for his effort in resolving
this long-standing question. |
