 Here is a
test track joiner for Free-mo to standard module. The entire unit is 5.5
inches long. The right end is code 83, the left is code 100. Free-mo calls
for 2 inch long pieces of code 83 rail (no ties), the standard modules call for a 9 inch
piece of code 100 track (with ties). This is have of each, 4.5 inches of
code 100 with ties and 1 inch of code 83 with out ties. I started with a
5.75 inch piece of code 100 track. I then used my motor tool to grind
down the last 1/4 of track. I took all but the bottom foot of the track off.
I test fit a piece of code 83 to see that I ground it down just right. I
then opened up a rail joiner and slipped it onto the end of the code 100
rail. I then slipped in the piece of code 83. I then soldered it all
together. |
