Commemorative book "40 Years
of the Ferrymead Railway"
A new book has been assembled by members of the Canterbury Railway Society
to celebrate 40 years of work and operation of the Ferrymead
Railway.
Publication of the book, 40 Years of the Ferrymead Railway,
coincides with the CRS' 40th anniversary, and was launched at a 40th
anniversary dinner 6 November 2004.
The book is a "nostalgic look at the first four decades of a
mighty enterprise", and features rare and historic photos of
construction of the Ferrymead Railway as well as detailed memoirs of
founding and early members of the Society.
