The following photographs depict the new construction activity on the Florida East Coast (FEC) Railway taken by Harlan Hanna [FECNRHS Chapter Recording Secretary and Newsletter Editor (Interim)].  In the May 2006 FECNRHS Chapter Newsletter (The East Coast Champion), Harlan made note of the work going on in the vicinity of the Space Coast Regional Airport, formerly known as the Titusville - Cocoa (TICO) Airport. After the May 2006 FECNRHS Chapter Meeting, Don Pierson informed Harlan that what he had observed was construction of a track extending from Indian River City (SR 50) Titusville, FL to Fay Blvd in Port St. John, FL. Harlan has since verified this in the 2005 FEC Industries Annual Report (http://library.corporate-ir.net/library/64/643/64379/items/196337/FECI_2005AR.pdf). Per page three (3) of the 2005 FEC Industries Annual Report, Mr. Adolfo Henrique's, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer (FEC Industries) states, "We started building 12 miles of double track between (South St.) Titusville (FL) and (south of Camp Road) Cocoa (FL) with support of the Florida Department of Transportation". The photos are as follows:
