British Columbia Railway GF6C's in Tacoma

The BCRail GF6C Electric locomotives made a long uneventful journey to Tacoma, Washington from Prince George, BC. While the locomotives fate is still unknown at this time, they are up for sale for $50,000, and so far, no interest at all has given to these unique beasts. Here are the pictures I took on February 25th, 2004. They are located by CEECo.

Update: As of the end Summer 2004. I saw the last of the scrap cars leave CEECo for the scrapper. All but one was saved and is located in Prince George, BC.

It would be nice to continue seeing these mammoth locomotives in service, sadly, it seems they're future is going to be in a scrap yard. A true pity . . . .
