I939-I940 Rebuilding of 441 Class
The intention was to rebuild locomotives No. 44r.001 to
No. 441.008 with superheaters. No. 441.101 to No. 441.103 were originally
constructed superheated and the rebuilt engines were to be numbered in
this series. Only four engines were completed before the Italians were
defeated.
