Above pages courtesy of Renato Gaudio.  While struggling to translate this, I forwarded the electronic copy to Dave Engstrom.  Dave was an Italian Linguist at Kagnew Station at time later than mine.  He translated it into English and provided me with a copy.  One section covers Massawa to Asmara.  The other covers Asmara to Keren and Agordat with a little piece about the train to Biscia. I will make links hot on it as time goes by.  This is the reverse of my journey almost 25 years later.  I'm afraid that I was not near as elequent.  Dave also provided a translation of the Ropeway page.
