The fleet numbers of the horsecars are unknown although the book,
Cataract Traction - The Railways of Hamilton by John M. Mills
contains a photo of a horsecar clearly numbered 2.

Six closed horsecars were purchased from Stevenson & Co. in June 1874
Four closed from Stevenson & Co. in December 1874
Four closed from the J.G. Brill Company, Philadelphia, PA in 1876
Two closed from Jones' Sons Car Company, Watervliet, NY in 1879
Two open from Jones' Sons Car Company, Watervliet, NY in 1880
Two open from unknown builder in 1884
Two open from the J.G. Brill Company, Philadelphia, PA in 1886
Two open and four closed from unknown builder in 1887
Four open and three closed from unknown builder in 1888
Six open and five closed from Jones' Sons Car Company, Watervliet, NY in 1890

Only 45 of the 46 horsecars remained in service at the time the line was electrified.
One car is believed to have been wrecked or burned at some point.

For winter use, nine sleighs were in service.
