The Toronto Civic Railway took delivery of Birney #57 in 1917 from Preston Car & Coach. It was renumbered 2214 in 1923. Retired from passenger service in 1926, it was later rebuilt as rail grinder car W-28, being used as such until acquired by the Halton County Radial Railway museum in 1976.
