(Posted here with permission of Joseph Testagrose) M&SC line car 305 has an interesting history. It was built in Welland, Ontario at the Niagara, St. Catharines & Toronto Railway shops in 1924 for the Toronto Suburban Railway, numbered 252. In October 1935 it went to the Montreal & Southern Counties Railway and was renumbered 305. With the end of electric operations on the M&SC in the fall of 1956, 305 was moved to the Quebec Railway Light & Power where it was again renumbered, this time as 69467. Its final disposition is unknown to me. St. Lambert is the location of this June 2, 1956 view of M&SC 305. |
