The above view of Kitchener Junction was taken prior to December 1946 as evidenced by the streetcar. In the lower view the streetcar tracks are gone and trolley bus overhead can be seen. The railway tracks in the foreground of the lower view are those of the Grand River Railway. The tracks were also in place when the upper photo was taken but do not appear in the picture. Passengers could transfer at Kitchener Junction between the Grand River Railway interurbans and the Kitchener public transit system.
