EIGHT CAR TRAIN ON THE CANADIAN PACIFIC ELECTRIC LINES |
The caption on the back of the photo reads: "The Lake Erie & Northern shows off to the press in this impressive 1929 photograph. Many thousands of people have found memories of riding on their electric railway from Kitchener through the communities of Preston, Galt, Paris, Brantford, Simcoe and Port Dover where the warm summer beaches of Lake Erie awaited them." This photo was taken just north of the LE&N carbarn at Brantford. The entire train appears to consist of steel cars except for the second from the rear which is one of the Grand River Railway wooden cars. Judging by the windows, I would say that it is car 824. |
