SRS 123 Wreck/Fire

WRECK INVOLVING SPERRY RAIL SERVICE 123

Ron Hohl kindly contributed this series of photos of wrecked/fire damaged SRS 123. The photos are believed to have been taken by his father who was a Sperry Rail Service employee. The incident occurred at Princeton, West Virginia, possibly on the Norfolk & Western Railway although that is not confirmed. The date is also unknown. It would appear that the car was either involved in a grade crossing accident or was somehow side-swiped by something on a passing train.

Should anyone know the date, can confirm the railway line, or have any details of this accident, I would appreciate receiving same to include here.
