This is a Reading & Northern passenger excursion at a photo runby at Tamaqua tunnel. This trip ran in June, 1992; and was one of the first passenger trips from Leesport to Jim Thorpe over the then-new connection from the R&N to the Carbon & Schuylkill at Haucks. |
| LMS 712 is a C40-8W leased by Conrail. LMS stands for Locomotive Management Services, which is co-owned by General Electric and Conrail. These units have spent much time on Canadian National and Union Pacific. Note the retrofit air conditioner to the rear of the left (fireman's) side of the cab. |
