I stripped the model using ScaleCoat paint remover then removed all cast on details. After drilling all the holes I used .008" brass wire for grab irons on all of the doors.  Gold Medal Models lift rings, windshield wipers, and steps were used. I also used a Sunrise Enterprises Winterization Hatch on the roof.

Painting was done with ModelFlex GN Big Sky Blue, Grimy Black, and Reefer white. I'm going to leave this model looking fairly new since I'm modelling the era of pre-merger GN. The only weather I applied was some chalk to the trucks and fuel tank.

Decals were created in Corel Draw 8, using a custom font I created, and printed on my Alps MD100. I used transparency film to create the panel where the logo is located.

So, All is well that ends well... It's not the worlds most perfect paint job but I'm on my way!
