Helping to Preserve 175 years of Decatur's
History
The Decatur Preservation Alliance, a newly formed non-profit organization to raise funds for the preservation of historic buildings, landmarks, and green space in Decatur, Georgia, needs you.
The historic 1891 Decatur
Train Depot, a much-loved landmark and former home of the Freight Room bar and
restaurant must be moved to prevent its demolition. As our first project,
we’re raising funds to cover the cost of moving the Depot in order to preserve
it.
But our mission goes beyond the
Depot. Join the Decatur Preservation Alliance and help us make Decatur an even
better place to live by preserving its past for the future!!!!
If you love the sense
of community in Decatur…
If you care about holding on to Decatur’s history…
If you want to see more green space in Decatur….
If you are concerned about Decatur’s future…
