1.5" Scale Model

Jack use to live near me and at one time was related through marriage so when I heard he was into trains I got fired up. Little did I know the scale he chose was so large. This was Jack's first attempt at the scale. When asked why? he replied that he wanted something he could see as he got older. For a first attempt I'd say he did well. This model is built board by board off blueprints right down to the opening windows with real glass, water barrel with opening lid, bunks, tool boxes, end railings and hand grabs. Jack said that making the transition on the end railings from flat bar to round bar as it came over the side was pretty tough. You had to get the holes for the uprights in the right spots too! Did I mention the door latches work! This is a great effort and I hope whom ever owns it now appreciates it.
