A listing of the various Body Styles of MOPAC cabooses with abbreviations and explanations as used here.

Sitting trackside and near the x C&EI depot in Beecher, Illinois is MP 13649.
This caboose is well located and set up.
The local folks are restoring the depot and so this should make a good addition for the town.

I'd like to thank Donna Rodeghiero for sending in these three photos showing the restored C & EI depot, MP 13649 and the nice park like setting that their group has arranged. A nice addition to Beecher no doubt. In the coming months, MP 13649 is due it's own restoration. Thanks to the folks in Hermann, Missouri who donated the toilet from MP 13538, this caboose is back near complete inside. Nice effort on the part of both groups.

Above - The wife and I visited Beecher to talk with the Mayor about restoration work on the caboose and in the process got our picture made in the depot. Very nice depot by the way. Thanks Donna. I'd like to thank Donna Rodeghiero for sending in these photos showing the newly repainted MP 13649. Last word I had it was getting lettered and decaled. More images are expected. Summer 2006.

July 2007. I received 2 emails from Donna with the following attached photos. The folks of Beecher should be very proud to have a volunteer such as Donna working on such a project. Restoring a caboose, even just a paint job, can be challenging. It takes someone with patience and determination to see it to completion.

So, after 2 years of effort, MP 13649 is in it's fresh dress of red and white with it's detail painting restored as well. Great job everyone and especially to Donna. Makes me very happy to have been a small part in the effort. Elvin Klepzig July 2007.
