To the Doniphan Branch Railway

The white sign on the side of this caboose in Villa Grove, Illinois says that it is a Lions Club project dated 1989 I believe.   Mis-numbered 13555 on the other side, this is truely MP 13623 which can be seen on the caboose in all the right places.   Located in Henson Park off Henson Road, it is in good shape but not in a MP paint scheme any longer.
It would be interesting to hear how it was decided 13555 was the number to change it to.
