Missouri Pacific 11351

a Standard Steel Welded (SSW) caboose.

Preserved in Cotter, Arkansas is MP 11351.
It is sitting up the hill (north) from the depot site on Fifth Street in Warrior Park.
Repainted for donation, it had been burned by vandals when I photographed it September 3, 1989.
In a good setting but out of the traffic flow and thus unprotected.

On January 14, 2002 it is under repair and looks like it may be moved.

It may be going to Big Spring Park in Cotter to sit with soon to be restored CRIP 17843.
This caboose use to sit next to the radio staition in Mountain Home, Arkansas.

And here it sits in Spring Park in the Spring of 2003.   Repainted, decaled and looking good.
The interior was gutted by fire so badly that it was decided not to atttempt to restore it thus the welded up windows which were also destroyed in the fire.
