This is one of the few examples in existence of a early SP style
wigwag. When wigwags were first installed during the early 1920's, they
were painted black and white, similar to this one. I'm not sure exactly
when, but some time in the early 30's they switched to silver, with black
and white banners. The biggest difference here is that originally the banners
were red with the word "STOP" placed where this one is. This one also has
the rare adjustable light assembly. Pete also points out the the doors
on the case have two different cities on them. One would be from Los Angeles,
the other from Minneapolis.
