Until 2014, there were two wigwags left in Hanford. Then sometime that
year, the Brown Street crossing
was closed, leaving only the one wigwag at Phillips Street. This
signal is located on the former SP Coalinga Branch,
now operated by the SJVR. This branchline used to run from Goshen,
compass west out to Coalinga.
The branch now ends in Huran, about 12 miles shy of its namesake
town. West of Hanford is Lemoore. There
was one remaining wigwag there until 2006.

Brown Street
(removed in 2014)
Brown St. wigwag. It looks as though the
light
visor has been twisted around a bit. Notice how the lower cantilever
bar ends at an angle. This is an example of the earlier type used.
Another Railroad Supply Case.

Lemoore
This wigwag was retired in mid-2006.
Motor box and banner were used
to keep the O St wigwag (Fresno)
in service, which was later retired as well.
This wigwag was located at Fox Street in downtown Lemoore.
This is also part of the old SP Coalinga Branch. The UPFE boxcar
is sitting on the Leprino Foods spur. The center track is the "main".
