Length: Our sessions last four hours or so depending on the crew.

Dispatch: We use track warrants now but signals are in the near future.

Communication: Hand Held Radios

Command Control: I went with DigiTrax and have no regrets. All systems have their benefits and problems. I have found the Chief to be reliable and exceeds my needs.

Car Cards: We use the basic car card /waybill system.

• Lansing Local, serves tipples (Coal Patrol)

• Two Stearns Turn Coal Trips

• Eight to Ten Trough Freights

Trains wait in upper staging. Both upper and lower staging have eleven tracks each over twenty feet long.

I have found over the years my choice to have open staging was the way to go. I can easily reach the trains and fix those little problems that my arise. I like the idea of not giving away what train is up next but it is also fun to show them off.
