Stan Stokrocki's Hudson Central RR in Poughkeepsie, NY is one of the finest S scale layouts I've seen. The layout, shaped in an L, uses a minimum of space and runs point to point on one level with plenty of opportunities for realistic switching operations. The trackwork is code .100 with open frog turnouts. Stan's specialties are scratchbuilding, kitbashing and fine scale detailing. You can send e-mail to Stan at: sscale@bestweb.net

Stan Stokrocki at his Hudson Central S scale layout.

A view of one of the industrial sidings.

Stan uses horizontals and angles to create a forced perspective of greater depth. The actual depth of the layout is two feet.

Note all the turnouts in this photo. This view provides a sense of the elaborate switching operations that are possible on this point to point layout.

Stan often assigns teams to a switching task. It's like solving a puzzle to figure out how to move the freight to a given location and remove the empties on limited trackage rights.

This is the Triangle Manufacturing Co. Stan kitbashed this beauty by stacking two Kibri HO factories on top of each other and adding other detail parts. Detailing is a specialty of Stan's.
