On behalf of the Host Committee we welcome you to the 2019 California Passenger Rail Summit here in Oakland, one of the hubs of the San Francisco Bay Area's transportation network! This two-day summit promises to be enlightening and engaging.

Since last year's summit in Los Angeles, state and local funding measures are now solidly in place to help enhance and expand the reach of passenger rail services throughout the Golden State. The 2019 summit sessions will feature:

• Innovative technologies to improve the passenger's experience


• Transformative megaprojects in the Northern and Southern California Megaregions


• Latest developments in new passenger rail vehicles


• Sustainability initiatives to reduce passenger rail's carbon footprint

This year we really want to engage and hear from summit participants. As such, throughout the summit we will be providing opportunities for you to pose questions and provide feedback in an interactive format. Your valued input will help us advance passenger rail as a vital and sustainable element of the state's transportation network.
