Units #9600-9683 (DRF-44) were delivered in 1997 and 1998 on GE order number 1880. All units have Self Steering trucks, and were delivered in the CPR Beaver paint scheme, with solid white frame stripes. Units #9615, #9618, #9621, #9671 and #9676 have the RCMP logo applied to both sides of the cab, but were delivered without these logos, these were applied later.

In 2017, 30 units from the GE-2 group (#9583-9683) were rebuilt into AC4400CWM's in the #8100-8129 group. In early 2018, another 15 were done, numbered #8130-8144.
