CP FP7A, CPA16-4, FP9A : 4100-4107

The CP 4100 series originally consisted of only 5 units : #4100-4103 were GMD-built FP7A units. They were rated 1,500 Hp, and fitted with a 16-cylinder 567 series 2-cycle engine; #4104-4105 were CLC-built CPA16-4 units, with a 1,600 Hp, 2-cycle FM 8 cylinder 'opposed piston' engine. Units #4106 and 4107 were acquired by CP in 2006 as replacement units for CP #1400 and 1401, assigned to the 'Royal Canadian Pacific' luxury train.
