About the Club
Introduction:
The Concord Model Railroad Club is a non-profit organization, registered in the State of New Hampshire. The club was incorporated in 1986 by a small group of HO-scale model railroad enthusiasts for the purpose of promoting model railroading, and enjoying the fellowship of other modelers. The Club is now renting space on the third floor of the former Washington Street School in Penacook, NH. Our new space is a well-lit, 22x35 foot classroom, with two adjacent storage rooms.

Membership:
The Club is open to new members of any skill level. There are currently no dues.  We only ask that members be interested in model railroading, and available to help the club when we exhibit. Please contact one of the officers, or just stop by some meeting night.

Officers
:
The Club is governed by three elected officers, and an elected show chairperson. Elections are held annually. For now, the webmaster is a voluntary position.

President: Jonathan Miner 603-340-1414
Vice-President: Glenn Hodge 603-763-4798
Secretary/Treasurer: Leo Quinn 603-428-3684
Show Chairperson: Rich Fifield 603-736-8061
Webmaster: Jonathan Miner 603-340-1414

Activities:
The Club sponsors an annual show in September. This is the biggest commerical model railroading show in New Hampshire. The show attracts dealers and clubs from across the area. The Club exhibits its HO-scale modular layout at several shows throughout the year.  With our modules we are able to exhibit layouts as small as 8x8ft, or as large as 24x30ft. When we exhibit with other clubs, the modular layout can be much larger.  Members' interests run from steam power right up to modern day intermodal trains. See our calendar page for complete details, but normally we attend the following events:
  • CVMRRC Show, Lebanon NH
  • NH History Museum Railroad Day
  • Bedford Boomers Railroad Exhibition
Some years we have also exhibited at the Ashland Railroad Show, local shopping malls, and other railroad related events.  Our show schedule depends on the availability of our members. Along with model railroading, we have members who are interested in prototype railroading. Members try to plan several day trips each year. Slide shows and videos from these trips are often shown at meetings. Our annual business meeting, holiday party and "Yankee Swap" is held in December.
