Our train entered into Cadillac but still had a way to go to get to our deboarding location at Cadillac.
Our train has arrived into Cadillac and I headed to the head end for some pictures of the train.
The train in Cadillac with the Nickel Plate 765 on the point.
Pere Marquette 1225. I walked over to the lake.
Lake Cadillac.
I returned to the train finding the Pere Marquette 1225 on the train alone as the Nickel Plate 765 ran to the Cadillac yard. After that Bob, Elizabeth and I went to the Blue Heron for lunch.
The Cadillac Freight House and I joined a photo line and we waited for well over an hour after hearing whistles and seeing steam clouds off in the distance.
The train finally returned from wying the engines and rearranging them so now the Pere Marquette 1225 would be on the point of our train for the trip back to Alma. All passengers reboarded and waited for the return trip to start.
Our train left Cadillac late with all passengers aboard happy and ready for the trip back.
Our train passed the Cadillac Train Station. I bought a Nickel Plate 765 Hooded Sweat Shirt and I was finally warmed up. I got a couple of Coca Colas as I started to enjoy the trip back. The train crew announced we would do some photo runbys in about twenty minutes.

Photo Runby 2. We all reboarded and the train continued on its way back to Alma. The train passed through several rain showers as the train ran on and we became a night train. I rode the vestibule for part of the trip and enjoyed my open window when it wasn't raining. We returned to Alma about two hours late but all passengers were happy after an excellent double headed steam trip behind Nickel Plate 765 and Pere Marquette 1225.
My final picture of the trip was at Alma before we drove back to Mount Pleasant for a good steak dinner at the Lone Star before calling it a night at the Baymont Suite.
