Southern Railway 154 Photo Charter 6/17/2017 Part 2

by Chris Guenzler

For the next photo runby, we relocated to the property to the north and I stood on the deck of a woman's house with her permission. I gave her one of my cards and thanked her for the use for her deck.

The photo runby of the freight train. I thanked the lady again and re-located along the road.

Reverse move five with sadness in the graveyard.

Photo runby five with the freight train, after which I decided to watch the next one without seeing it through a camera lens.

The re-enactors portrayed the sadness of coming to a graveyard to put flags on a lost soldier's grave; this was the first of the excellent portrayals of them. Our passenger train came back across the bridge and we proceeded to the last grade crossing on the east end of the railroad.

We went by a quarry on the way.

Once we detrained, our passenger consist reversed west and the unattended bag was soon recovered.

The reverse move for the seventh runby.

Photo runby seven.

The continuation of photo runby seven. The soldier returns from war and is reunited with his lover.

Reverse move eight.

Photo runby eight. The soldier comes home and finds romance in his arms as he deboards. Once again, the re-enactors performed brilliantly.
