Now for some trains! Our first stop was at the east side of the Martinez railroad bridge.
Amtrak Capitol Corridor train 738 crossed the Martinez railroad bridge. From here we headed west along the south shore to set up for more trains.
We leave the railroad bridge behind.
A really fast speedboat. We picked the first of our two water photo locations.

Union Pacific 7477 West along the shore west of Martinez.
Amtrak Capitol Corridor train 742 along the shore west of Martinez.

Union Pacific 7624 East along the shore east of Crockett. Now we waited for the final Reno Fun Train of the year.
The Final Reno Fun Train of 2015 went by along the shore east of Crockett. The private cars included Iowa Pacific "Sunset Harbor", Iowa Pacific "Prairie View", Iowa Pacific "Sky Dome", Amtrak Great Dome "Ocean View", "Royal Gorge", "Pacific Trail" and "Plaza Santa Fe". The boat started back to the Glen Cove Marina.
The Loose Caboose boat headed back across the Carquinez Strait.
The Loose Caboose boat returned us to Glen Cove Marina, ending our boating adventure and my best Winterail trip ever. We thanked Captain Larry for the excellent water adventure today and we left the Loose Caboose behind.
The Trip HomeRobin and I left Glen Cove Marina at 6:30 PM and headed back up the road to Interstate 780 east to Interstate 680, south to CA Highway 4 east which we took to CA Highway 99 south, and headed up the San Joaquin Valley. I bought some dinner at Carl's Junior in Madera and we filled the rental car with petrol in Bakersfield. Traffic was the lightest that I had ever seen it and when we climbed Tejon Pass, I was alone on the freeway. Due to a full freeway closure on Interstate 5 at Alameda Street, we went through downtown Los Angeles on US 101 with no traffic, back to Interstate 5 to home, arriving there at 1:45 AM Monday morning. Robin really enjoyed the whole weekend as did I. We said our goodbyes with Robin driving home and me getting four hours of sleep before I worked my job at Heninger Elementary School in Santa Ana. This ends the final Winterail trip to Stockton.
